Bonded leather interfacing leather stiffener
Salpa is a bonded leather fiber material made by a process of finely milling vegetable-tanned leather scraps and adding natural fat and latex as a binder.
Salpa is popular as a natural material for linings in belts, watch straps, clutches, wallets, books, and other small leather goods.
If applied to finished product, this kind of leather is not to be left "free", i.e. it must be inserted between two other materials, e.g. leather and leather, leather and synthetic material, leather, and fabric, etc.. in order to avoid possible product undulations.
